November 2009

Hi Folks,
Just reminiscing of the old days and missing us all, for anyone out there we used to be a tight group of strangers that posted on line about our lives and storys. We all became friends and to this day I still email all. We have all lost our way alittle but I'm sure someday we will all be back.
So it's a sunny day in NYC and not to cold which is surprising. I have the worst cold no not swine flu but a bon i fide cold. My kids are doing good for them. My hubby has a great new job he started 3 months ago. He is a Super for 6 small buildings in SOHO. He now gets to meet stars and models all the time and I will dedicate one full post to him and who he meeets and has no clue who they are. Tyson and Lady are great and its prime Squirrel season so you know they are Happy. I have found the wonders of a DVR and I have to say I can't get enough of DVRing. Anyhoo just dropped in to see if anyone still looks.
Smooches for all

I'm Alive

Sorry folks I am alive, I just haven't been in the mood to blog. Little League season is on again and I will be measuring our last group of 8 teams next weekend. Let the fun begin. So what's new, lets see my hubby lost his job Thanksgiving week and hasn't found anything yet. So money is super tight. The weather has been pure crap in NY I need my spring to come really soon. So lately I have become a TV freak in my free time due to DVR. What a sinful thing but I love it. I must have at least 15 musical dvr'ed, everything from Rent to Funny Girl. You know I'm in heaven. My lovable Tyson has to wear 2 coats this winter but he still is a lunatic dog who I wouldn't give up for the world although he doesn't have many squirrels to chase until spring. I did watch a really good movie called "The Brave One" with Jodie Foster. It had a great ending that I didn't think would happen try and see it. So for now smooches til next time.

Updates

I'm still here, I'm just alot busier then I used to be. Well let's see if my other 2 kids didn't give me much gray then Double A takes the prize. At 14 he is a royal pain in my ... Also my stomach and what ever else you can think of. Did you know that I can make it rain snow sleet and hail. i am amazing. He is the worst kid I should say person to wake up in the morning. He is the nasiest crankiest kid I own in the morning. You would think by now he would just get up and go to school but I think he really just loves ruining my morning so that I can have a wonderful day. Enough already. Lets see I watched a few movies on cable recently. One was Sweeney Todd - I thought it was decent but would not watch it again. I did not see it on broadway either. I also watched a movie We Own the Night. It was pretty good not the godfather or anything but watchable. I have just been working really hard and the weather here is psyco. Friday and Sat it was up to 70 today it is 30 degrees, talk about global warming. Thanks for letting me vent people. Anyone see any good movies lately. Oh fpr all you Tyson and Lady fans they are doing great . Lady loves the cold weather and tyson is getting used to his coat already. Til we meet again

Acroos the Universe

Okay I'm going to try and get back to what I love most Musicals, Yes folks I watched a new one and am entranced. It was a movie called "Across the Universe". Now I found the Beatles when I was 14 and never let go. In fact I have 30 cassettes that I never opened of Beatles album. Well this movie is completely told thru Beatles songs. Now if you didn't like the Beatles then you definetly would not like this movie. It's like a mix of Hair and Moulin Rouge. Which I found pretty ingenuis how they interjected these songs into a story about vietnam and the village(NYC for people living in other states. The funniest part I think if you go to the village now, it's pretty much the same. So if you are a Beatles fan rent this movie and smile when you realize some of the references. It is worth the 2 1/2 hours!!!!!

Anonymous

Hi Folks, well fall is coming and I'm lovin it. The city sucks in the summer with the heat. So where do I start. Our little 7/8 team played there hearts out and after 3 playoffs made it to the championship where they lost by one in the last inning last out of the game. Yes it was heartbreaking but funny enough we all went to the pizza place by our field and as we pull up and there are 14 8year olds running up and down the sidewalk(about 9 at night) a smile crossed my face and my husband asked me whats up and I said we don't own any of them so I don't have to scream at any of them. That's their parents job. I was loving it. Anyhow Double A started 9th grade in the private school and is loving it so far. "He even opted out of Art to take creative writting. It gives me hope for the future!!! I am looking into vocational programs for the Mayor and hopefully we will find something that is right.
Tommorrow is 9/11 and I have to say every year is just as hard here. I watched a documentary on the history channel and 9/11 conspiracy theory's. I have to say terrorist hit the world trade and the pentagon . I know it's a simple theory for some but it's the truth. Every conspiracy in my mind has been debunked and I wish they would leave the victims family's alone to grieve in peace. You know I don't usually get into politic and this kind of thing but the documantary was powerful and as a plus Popular Mechanics explained and broke down alot.
Now and old friend of mine on the blogsphere seems to be around. This person was the first I ever blogged with and he meant the world to me. Good friend and advice and fantastic sense of humor. So to you my friend please start a NEW BLOG AND LET ME KNOW, IT'S REALLY BEEN TO LONG.
To all Tyson fans besides jumping up into the tree branch to catch a squirrel he"s been calm. On that note til we meet again. Hugs!!

baseball and junk

Hey Folks, well it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood (yes I'm that old) anyhoo we have a playoff game tonight with the 7/8 year old team my husband coached this summer. He went younger to get back to the basics with kids and it's funny to watch the newbie parents (especially the one who threatened my hubby and all the coaches if they didn't pitch his son. That always works right.) Honestly what I have found this summer I miss my kids not playing Baseball especially the mayor. I guess Iw ish little league could last forever. So I go on and watch other peoples children and care just as much. I just taught the new moms how to throw the year end barbeque child/adult softball game. They thought it was such an ingenious idea. I always knew I was good. HEHE. So I have been cleaning out my apt. My hubby's going to put a new floor wood floor in and I wanted to get rid of alot of stuff. I've been watching cleanhouse lately. I'm still DVR obessed. I just wanted to stop and fill you guys in. I'm so glad to see all my girls back here. Oh wish us luck tonight

New Attitudes and old memories

Hi Folks, I am here and alive. I haven't had time to blog or felt like blogging. I had afew rare moments today and started rereading this blog from the beginning. Wow it's amazing to actually have something that chronicles your life for three years. Somethings have changed so much and others are still the same. I still blog with the same people I started out with. My kids are getting older driving me more crazy and my dogs are still my babys also. I'm still music crazy and still watch musicals.
So on a subject I like I am putting in my complaints
1. A few days ago I read about them remaking Rocky Horror. I like to meet the idiot who thought of this. It is a classic that just can't be done again. There is only 1 Tim Curry and I'm placing bets right now that it won't work
2. Another one is Rock and Roll High School. Now I read about this in my office building elevator. It seems Howard Stern wants to remake this. Come on folks the movie without the Ramones is not the movie. This one I take personal because -one whn I was kid we used to watch the Ramones practice on there building roof top and 2 this is about there high school which is my old high school and it's just not write.

On a better note I heard I want to be sedated " this morning and I can't stand losing you by the Police, now the police song is the album me and my hubby fell in love to so I'm sentimental.

One more thing before I go I just got DVR and I'm sorry I used to laugh at others with it because I love it and am kicking myself for waiting so long but thats another post. I'm really gonna try to get back to what I used to love about blogging, till the next time
