The summer of 79
The year is 1979, to me one of the greatest summers of my life. This is a great music year also so my list for this week is songs from the summer of 79. A few fact for the year the movie Grease came out and was a huge hit. It was the year I fell in love with the Beatles and real Rock and Roll but also alot of top 40. So here are some picks from that summer
1. Wishing on a Star
2 My Sharona
3.Shining Star
4. Little Jeannie by Elton
5. Sharing the Night Together by Dr Hook
6. Anything Donna Summers
7. You can't change that by Radio
8. Renegade by Styx
I could really go on and on with Billy Joel and Bruce but I want to see what you guys have to offer

They bring back a few memories!!
i wasn't old enough to remember top 40 :) besides- i grew up in the south- and country wasn't top 40 back then :)
Listen as far as I know everyone lived by Casey Kasams countdown. It was a really good year B
Ahhhh memories of love affairs and romance. The bad old days.
The year of pregnancy...I remember strawberry cheesecake ice cream more than the top forty..lol...But, I did love Renegade. Still do. I discovered the Beatles when they came to the US. Oops, now we know how old I really am.....
I just heard Casey Kasem yesterday; he's still in the top 40 saddle....he was playing a flashback Rupert Holmes when I tuned it..you know, that Pina Colado song...
Lets see, summer of 79, kids would have been just over 10 and we likely spent it doing a lot of camping and boating.
Going back further than that I'm reminded of It's Been A Hard Days Night... Great song.
