I'm back!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for the comments below, I was really thinking of giving this up but like a junkie I am back. So lets see Christmas was nice and I didn't go into debt which was nice for me. I did recieve a great unexpected gift from my boss who's wife run the online Ralph Lauren brand. Well she gave me a black cashmere Ralph Lauren sweater. So of course I looked it up and it's worth about $300. Its really soft and luxurious and is something I definetly wouldn't buy for myself. I think the best gift I recieved was homemade fudge from a very dear blogger friend Betmo. She knew I was down and it really did cheer me up and made me feel better.
Now I had promised a Murphy's law story and I think this fits even if it wasn't me exactly but it was my family. The Mayor (who I must tell my loyal readers is doing much better and hasn't touched a pill in months) was with his friend after school one day hanging out. It was really cold and they decided to go into the basement of the building across the street from the park. Someone called the police and they were confronted by 2 police officers. There were 7 kids there. The police let 5 of them go because they were 15. My son and 1 little girl who are 16 got arrested for tresspassing.(now if you remember they gave tickets in the summer for that) well I called a legal aide lawyer who works at the couthouse because I didn't want him to spend the night there. Long story short he got taken in at 3 in the afternoon, wasn't given anything to eat until 8 in the morning and I got him released with all charges dropped at 11 in the morning. I realized they arrested him to get there numbers up because it was the last day of the month. This was november and you know quota's must be met.
Anyhoo I've been on a movie watching zone lately and will probably post about them Friday. So to all thanks again you make a person feel loved.

Yay! Your back!!!
Happy new year and all that!
Sorry to hear about your son. Cant have been much fun for either of you.
Welcome back, girl. You were missed. I hate cops. I didn't used to, but the more tickets they write for nothing the more I dislike them. And, when you need one, where are they? Writing a sixteen year old a ticket for trespassing....please...
sorry you had to go through all that. I can relate.
never a dull moment with you is it? :) glad you liked the fudge :)
I was given some good fudge on New Years, it didn't last long. The run in with the police is why I've always preferred small towns, things are generally done differently in them. Not sure they should have been in that building though, not that I wouldn't have been there I suppose.
I'm not sure cops have or need quota's. I think a lot of that is just hearsay. Shoot, I see so much going on all the time that if I was a cop I could keep busy 24 hours a day.
I don't have any problem with cops myself, and can see how this world would be without them.
The cops in this town could write a heck of a lot more traffic tickets than they do. Boy, just give me a cop car and some ticket books and I'll start filling up the cities coffer. LOL
But I don't want to be a cop, all to often they don't get much respect and have to take a lot of guff. Can't blame them for having a short fuse sometimes.
I have never given them a bad time and felt that I was always treated fairly by them, and any tickets I got I was asking for by breaking the law.
Haven't gotten one for many years though. My record is so clean that I look like a virgin. LOL
Nice to hear from you again, Dawn. Hope you had a nice break.
TO be honest guys I would have rather had a ticket then make him stay in an adult lockup all night. At least it showed him that it's a place you don't want to be.
That's terrible Dawn. Really. Sometimes the world seems so "F"'d.
Chin up! We love you.
